Make a lasting impact on the movement to protect and strengthen Canada’s public health care system by including the Canadian Health Coalition in your estate plans.

Why Leave a Gift in Your Will?

Leaving a gift in your will is a powerful way to support health advocacy, inspire lasting change, and preserve your values. Your legacy can help advance policies that promote accessible, quality health care, build a more equitable health system, and ensure your commitment to public health lives on for generations to come.

Legacy giving is flexible. You can choose to leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or even particular assets. How, when, and what you give is entirely up to you.

Including the Canadian Health Coalition in Your Will

Consult with your estate planning lawyer or financial planner. They can help you consider your overall estate plan, ensuring that your needs and those of your loved ones are met while also supporting our work.

To include the Canadian Health Coalition in your estate plans, you can share the following sample wording with your lawyer or advisor:

Residual Bequest (a percentage of your estate):
“I give to the Canadian Health Coalition, a not-for-profit organization currently of 2841 Riverside Dr. Ottawa, Ontario K1V 8X7, ___% of the residue of my estate to be used for its general purposes.”

Specific Bequest (a fixed amount):
“I give to the Canadian Health Coalition, a not-for-profit organization currently of 2841 Riverside Dr. Ottawa, Ontario K1V 8X7, the sum of $___ to be used for its general purposes.”

As a non-profit organization that is not a registered charity under the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines, the Canadian Health Coalition is unable to provide an official tax receipt for your legacy gift. This means your estate will not receive the donation tax credit benefit that comes with gifts to registered charities.
