Keeping the pressure on Carney: Our Ottawa ad blitz
We put ads at the Ottawa airport and sent a mobile billboard truck through downtown Ottawa and around Parliament Hill for four straight days.
From Friday September 18 through Monday September 21, the truck was on the streets in Ottawa as Liberal MPs gathered for a caucus meeting, throughout the weekend, and as Parliament resumed on Monday.
Our message was clear: protect public health care and keep U.S.-style health care out of Canada.
For the past eight months, the Canadian Health Coalition has been sounding the alarm on Alberta’s Bill 11 and pushing the federal government to act, calling on Prime Minister Mark Carney and Health Minister Marjorie Michel to enforce the Canada Health Act.
To date, Carney has remained completely silent on Bill 11.
We wanted Liberal MPs to understand that Canadians are watching, and that we expect the federal government to protect public health care.
