The UFCW Canada reports that workers at Royal Henley Retirement Community are the newest members to join UFCW 175 & 633’s HOPE sector for health care professionals after securing a successful certification vote. UFCW Canada is a member of the Canadian Health Coalition.

In a statement, the union said the bargaining unit was formed to improve wages, benefits, job security, health and safety, and working conditions. Many of the new members work as Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in addition to lifestyle, housekeeping, dietary, and kitchen personnel roles.

UFCW Canada Locals 175 & 633 represent more than 70,000 hard-working Ontarians in almost every sector of the economy. To learn more about the outstanding work of UFCW 175 & 633, visit their website.
