We want to thank everyone who has signed their name, calling for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to take action to end the health care crisis in Canada.

Messages from Health Coalition activists have been delivered to the Prime Minister, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, and over 80 other Members of Parliament.

We are sending a powerful message: “Work with the Premiers to end the health care crisis”

In his year-end CBC interview, the Prime Minister said simply giving in to the provinces’ demands on health care funding won’t guarantee improvements to Canada’s strained health system.

The Canadian Health Coalition agrees – we need accountability for health care dollars. But the federal government must take action to get things moving with the provinces and territories.

“People are looking for federal leadership now to break the impasse,” I said in an interview with the Canadian Press.

I suggested it might be time for the Prime Minister to deliver his message to the Premiers in person at a sit-down meeting to get the negotiations moving.

Quebec Premier Francois Legault said he is more confident after meeting Prime Minister Trudeau yesterday that the Premiers and the federal government can arrive at a health care deal for long-term increased funding.

If you haven’t yet, please add your name below and send a message to Prime Minister Trudeau, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, and your local MP.

Any agreement between the feds and provinces MUST include benchmarks for use of this increased investment: retention of HCW; better access by rural and remote communities; improvements in surgical/ER wait times. Anything else is is a leadership failure. @PurpleWorksSEIU https://twitter.com/healthcoalition/status/1618374040091234308
