Public health care is in crisis in Canada – that’s why we need your help.

Join public health care advocates and experts, health care workers and patients as we head to Ottawa to deliver our message to politicians: “Save our public health care system!”

Parliament Hill Lobby for Public Health Care

Monday, March 27 | Tuesday, March 28 | Wednesday, March 29, 2023

We want the Canadian government to expand our public system to include universal pharmacare, public dental care, safe long-term care, and investments to support frontline health care workers. We don’t want more privatization, for-profit clinics, and a two-tiered system that benefits the wealthy over everyone else.

The Canadian Health Coalition’s Lobby features:

  • Monday, March 27, you will attend our half-day conference and receive lobby training with other participants.
  • Tuesday, March 28, you will join a 4-person team to meet Parliamentarians to share our demands, followed by our Parliament Hill reception hosted by MP Don Davies.
  • Wednesday, March 29, come and contribute your ideas to our post-lobby debrief and strategizing session.

This year’s lobby day, the first in person lobby since 2019, is part of the Canadian Health Coalition’s Health + Hope 2025 campaign to achieve the four health care commitments in the landmark cooperation deal between Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh.

  • Universal pharmacare
  • Safe long-term care
  • Public dental care
  • Investments in primary health care and in health care workers

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: MARCH 8, 2023

Sign up here.

Please note there is a $25 registration fee to help us cover the costs of the Lobby.
